Kamea’s Theory: The Inspiration Behind Christopher John Rogers X Target Collaboration

It’s been a few weeks since the Christopher John Rogers x Target collaboration, and I’m still excited about my pieces. As someone who loves fashion, bold prints, and vibrant colors, this collection by Christopher John Rogers checks off everything on my list.

As I was going through most of the looks that were featured in this collection, I couldn’t help but notice that there were a few similarities from his past runway collections that made me love these designs even more.

Here’s a dress worn by Lizzo at the GLAAD Media Awards in 2019 that he designed. You can see the inspiration behind a few of the dresses from the Target collaboration.

I personally feel like the dress that was designed for Lizzo was a perfect combination of the two-toned button down maxi pink dress and the neon taffeta number.

Let’s compare more dresses shall we?
