These Two Designers Are Redefining Suits— And I’m Loving It!

Wearing a good suit will you have you feeling like the most powerful person in the room. No matter if it’s oversized, fitted, or cropped, sporting a coordinating jacket and pant (skirts are cool too!) set is a look that will never go out of style.

Lately, I’ve been obsessing over a plethora of suits that are more eccentric and bold. I’m starting to pay great amount of attention to detail, and so far— I love what I’m seeing. And I can honestly say these designers are putting their own twist on their definition of a power suit.

Check out these two designers that are causing quite a stir in the fashion world right now.

BBXMAF

When I first saw the founder of Fashion Bomb Daily, Claire Sulmers in a suit by BBX. It was instant gratification. How can a suit be so daring, modern, yet still chic. If your personal style is more on the unconventional side, these suits will definitely elevate your style a few notches.

While the details on these suits are eye catching, I think the tie-wrap style suit is the clear winner. Not only does it shapes the body with the tie-ends, if you were to wear it untied, it would still be a dramatic piece of work.

And don’t fret on all the belted styles you see, they’re completely removable for the lovers who have an affinity for boxy and oversized styles (like myself).

Sergio Hudson

Sergio, Sergio, Sergio. I fell in love with this man when he was on Styled to Rock back in 2012, and his final look was that beautiful denim dress he designed for Rihanna. So just to see him still designing is definitely an ode to his dedication and craft for fashion.

With celebrities like Beyonce, Taraji P. Henson, and Queen Latifah in his pieces, let’s just say he automatically gets the the stamp of approval.

I’m loving his current designs even more right now, because they have a sort of vintage flair that I’m obviously obsessed with.

If you’re looking to update your traditional work suit for one that has a little more oomph in it, both of these brands are on the It list.
