Build-A-Bear Workshop ‘Pay Your Age Day’ Event Was A Flop

I couldn’t let this day go by without sharing my failed attempt to get my daughters and niece a bear from the highly anticipated Build-A-Bear Workshop: Pay Your Age Day event.

I arrived at 9:25 a.m. and the line was already wrapped around the corner from the store’s entrance, but it was moving at a steady pace so  I was thinking it wasn’t that bad and that we would be out of the store by 11:40 a.m.

I was wrong.

Right when I got close to the entrance, there was another line waiting for me in another hallway. That’s when I knew I wasn’t going to last.

I took this picture when I thought I was almost in the store.

Once I got near the store’s entrance, I  had to make a left into this hallway, and was expected to be in here for three more hours.

After waiting two hours in line, I decided to just head home and opt for the $15 voucher that the Build-A-Bear employees were giving out, because I was going to be in line for another three hours and I wasn’t putting my daughters and niece through no more chaos for the day.

There’s Always Next Time

I’m heading back to Build-A-Bear to use the vouchers this weekend because $15 off is still a good discount, and with  the purchase of a bear along with the accessories it can get very expensive.

Bonus Club Members Vouchers And Offers

If you were in line or missed out on the amazing deal today, Bonus Club Members have until July 15 to print out or screenshot a copy of the $15 voucher when you log into your account. Although it’s not the Pay Your Age deal, it’s still worth it!

When I was leaving, I spoke to a Build-A-Bear employee and she stated that when my daughter turns three she will be allowed to purchase a bear for $3. The deal is only for the brown bear not the specialty stuffed animals they have, but if your child loves stuffed animals like my daughter, this is a steal!
