3 Things We Can Take Away From Carolina Herrera’s Fall 2018 Ready-to-Wear Collection

As I sit back and glance at Carolina Herrera’s last Fall collection, I can honestly say that the timelessness and simplistic touches  most of these looks acquire,  not only embodies who Carolina Herrera was as a designer for the last 37 years , but showcases that staying true to who you are as an artist is what being a fashion designer is all about. Never be afraid to express who you are.

So if there is anything we can take from this collection, here are a few things we should never forget.

1. Amplify Your Black And White Combos

While the usual black and white duo might seem a little effortless to some, don’t be afraid to try new cuts and styles to spice up your wardrobe when it comes to your classic pieces. The cut and design on some of these looks are refreshing and far from boring.

I prefer clothes that are simple, well-cut, but with one major extravagance. Something with the sleeves, with the skirt, but nothing too fussy, too flashy.

2. Novelty Prints Are Always A Good Touch

Tired of your floral and stripe prints? Consider a good novelty print to add a bit of excitement to your looks.

3. Go Bright And Bold No Matter The Season

Brights are not only for the spring and summer, you can wear them year round. While dark and nude tones are expected when it comes to the fall season, Herrera shows us that it’s okay to brighten it up or where something over the top every once in a while.

Take these bright taffeta skirts (with pockets!), or this red and silver ornate skirt for example.
